| "KEI" is a Kanji which signifies creek,
valley etc. I used this Kanji instead of a word to
signify the diversity of the rapidly changing flow and
resulting landscape. The structure of this piece is such that several motives rotates as if looking through a kaleidoscope, based upon a motif rapidly going down. Although I wrote a piece for Clarinet, which is my second instrument, when I was a university student, I did not have a chance to write one after that. It was my wish to write one again, and I am happy that I could do this at this very occation. |
「渓」とはもちろん渓谷、渓流を意味する漢字だが、その変化の激しい流れとそれによってもたらされる地形などを多義的にあらわそうと思い、単に「渓」というたいとるにした。 この曲の構造は、いくつかの楽想が万華鏡を覗くように回転して行くが、特に急速に下降する音階を基調としている。 大学生のとき、クラリネットの作品を書いたことはあるが、ピアノに次いで中学生以来接することが多かったこの楽器のために(最近は楽器にかびが生えているかもしれない？）再び作品を書きたいと常日頃想っていた。ようやくこの度、そのことが実現できて嬉しく思う。 |
